Spanish Cay to Treasure Cay
We chose to head on today because we have one more small outside passage to do around Whale Cay and the winds are shifting around to the north for some of the classic Northers the Bahamas gets in the winter. It’s nice to find a well protected marina or anchorage during those windy, blustery days.
Treasure Cay is the perfect spot and we anchor in a beautiful lagoon with a really nice Marina and some really huge yachts. It’s such a great anchorage that we stay at anchor and just dinghy in to town. Treasure Cay features the most beautiful beach I have ever seen in my life and we have a long walk on the beach. It’s home to the Tipsey Seagull where we enjoy Thursday pizza night along with what looks like the whole population of the island, and Coco’s at the beach where we had awesome Conch Chowder.
We got a lot of projects done including generator and battery work, and I completed my last client obligation. Kind of fun as its draperies and a crib skirt for a nursery, and it gets me excited to make things for Anna and Omar’s nursery. Nice to slow down for a couple days too.
