Headed to Hope Town
Time passes much to quickly and soon it’s time to head back north for the Hope Town Song Writers festival. It’s a day passage up to Little Harbor and Jim puts out a fishing line for the trip. We warn him that we will probably only catch something near the islands, but I put in my request for a big Mahi Mahi. To our surprise, we hook into one in the middle of our passage! Jim has quite a battle getting it to the boat and the Michele makes a rock star move to gaff it and get it on board. It’s still a battle to subdue it but vodka in the gills helps once again. It it huge! We figure close to 25 pounds and we fill the freezer with fresh mahi. Once again we are feasting! We stop for a night in Little Harbor to get in a snorkel with the turtles. They are elusive as usual but we see some huge ones in the harbor as well as some dolphins that have fun checking John out in the kayak. Can’t miss a sunset at Pete’s Pub either.
Jim follows directions really well. I asked for Mahi, and…WOW!
