Back to the Exumas

We’ve arrived back in the Exumas. I just can’t believe the color of the water here in the Bahamas. What you see in the picture is 8′ deep crystal clear water between Allens and Leaf Cay in the northern Exumas. We have tucked in between the islands in anticipation of a weather front coming through tonight. Winds will clock around to the north and strengthen to 20 to 25kts overnight.
It was a great spot for a kayak paddle and snorkel. While I was snorkeling to check out our anchor, I did was closely inspected by a 6′ Nurse Shark. Even though I know Nurse Sharks aren’t dangerous it still raised my heart rate.
Since I didn’t catch any fish today it is time for Lamb Chops on the Big Green Egg. Yum
