What else do we do on a windy day? Find a deserted beach on the Lee side of Cat Island.

Just North of Orange Creek Point on Cat Island we found these amazing blown over Casuarina Trees. The root balls are all weathered and the sand has been eroded off of the the roots. Interesting trees that are not native to the Bahamas. They are from Australia and East Asia and are seen through out the Bahamas along the shore line. The have a wonderful sound in the wind similar to the wind in the pine trees in Rock Mountains.
You have to love how the Black and White picture really shows the character of these trees.
