Welcome back to Marsh Harbour

Yesterday, 1/27/22 we ran the 30 miles from Green Turtle Cay to Abaco Beach Resort (ABR) in Marsh Harbour. ABR has been our winter home since 2016. We joined the Royal Marsh Harbour Yacht Club the first year we got here and made fantastic friends here.

Many of you know the last 3 years have been disastrous for the Abacos, especially Marsh Harbour, in Sept 2019 hurricane Dorian leveled everything here. After a year of rebuilding Covid hit and just now, almost 3 years later the recovery continues. This is the first year the Royal Marsh Harbour Yacht Club has been back in at our ABR home.

Tonight we enjoyed celebrating our arrival with a happy hour under the tent just like we used to. Great times and a surprising number of new names and faces. It’s the fun and interesting people we meet along the way that really make cruising fun for us.
